Hearthstone Botanical Gardens is once again calling on creative minds to take part in its annual Scarecrow Festival on Saturday, Oct. 11. Scarecrow submissions are open for all individuals, families, youth groups and businesses — and entry is completely free!
Categories open for submissions include Children/Youth Groups, Family/Friends, and Businesses/Organizations. Cash prizes will be awarded to winners in each category. All entries must be family-friendly, able to stand freely on their own, and built to withstand outdoor weather conditions. The participant’s name and phone number should be firmly attached to the back of their entries.
Scarecrows can be dropped off at Hearthstone Botanical Gardens between Wednesday, Oct. 1 and Wednesday, Oct. 8. They must also be set up in the designated area for the participant’s chosen category. Entries will remain on display throughout the festival on Oct. 11, and must be removed by the participant after the event.
