Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park to celebrate 75th Anniversary

Jason Futch Reporter2.RiverbendNews@gmail.com The Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in White Springs is preparing to celebrate its 75th anniversary in style by hosting a gala on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 6:30 p.m. As the anniversary draws near, volunteer Khrys Kantarze, who also served as a past president of the nonprofit Stephen Foster Citizen Support Organization (SFCSO), reflected on the past 75 years of the park’s operation.  Kantarze said the idea for the park came after Foster’s “Old Folks at Home” became the state song in 1935.
