The Sound of Suwannee is doing everything it can to spread its love of the arts through the community. However, sometimes the tough work of these students goes unnoticed. This year, the public has another opportunity to show its support for these kids. On Thursday, Feb. 6, the Sound of Suwannee will be hosting its Solo and Ensemble Showcase. “Our students have worked diligently to have a great show planned for you,” the band wrote in a Facebook post. The event is open to everyone in the community. The evening will begin with the auxiliary at 5:30 p.m. in the gym. Just a few short minutes later, the crowd will move into the auditorium for the music showcase. Doors will open at 5 p.m. A donation of $5 is requested to benefit the program. Suwannee High School is located at 1314 Pine Ave., Sw in Live Oak.
