Single-vehicle accident ends in fatality

On Thursday, May 1, the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the area of 96th Street and 209th Place, in Dowling Park in response to a single-vehicle accident. According to a report filed by the Florida Highway Patrol, at approximately 7:10 p.m., a beige Acura Sport Utility Vehicle was traveling east on 96th Street. The Vehicle veered onto the southern shoulder of 96th Street, Where the front of the SUV collided with a tree. The driver was later identified as 51-year-old Live Oak resident Michael Sutton. He was taken to HCA Florida Suwannee Emergency, where he was pronounced deceased.
