Seven receive Christ at E.C. Tyner Children’s Camp

Kim Whigham Contributor Middle Florida Baptist Association (MFBA) has enjoyed yet another year of E.C. Tyner Children’s Camp at Pickett Lake. This is a four-day, summer sleep-away camp for children who have completed grades two through six. MFBA is comprised of 31 churches in Jefferson, Madison and Lafayette Counties. Camper registration typically opens in February of each year and closes when we have reached capacity. This year, we served 173 campers and volunteers. We were aware in late spring that the area had experienced severe drought and the lake was extremely low, which would hamper swimming and canoeing activities.
