Search warrant leads to big drug/ firearm bust

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Contributor On the night of Sunday, Dec. 7, the Criminal Investigations Division of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Narcotics and Street Crimes Unit, executed a search warrant in the southeastern area of Hamilton County. During the operation, investigators seized approximately two and a half pounds of marijuana, three ounces of cocaine, 11 grams of methamphetamine, controlled prescription medication and multiple firearms. Among the firearms recovered was a short-barreled shotgun, which is illegal to possess under Florida law. This investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
