SCSO K9 assists FHP with drug bust

By Bryant Thigpen Riverbend News The Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) K9 Loki recently assisted the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) with a traffic stop that ended with the discovery of a large amount of drugs.   According to a SCSO press release, on Tuesday, Sept. 22, FHP Trooper Ryan MacFadden requested assistance from SCSO Deputy Justin Stout and SCSO K9 Loki with a traffic stop. Stout and K9 Loki conducted an open-air search of the stopped vehicle, and K9 Loki detected the odor of illegal narcotics from within the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a large amount of synthetic cannabinoids, MDMA (ecstasy), methamphetamine and crack
