Maybe it's a young child who was just involved in a terrible car accident. Maybe is a cancer patient undergoing chemotherapy treatments. Maybe it's a sickle cell patient who receives frequent blood transfusions in order to help her feel pain-free. Maybe it's a member of your own family. Every year, a total of 4.5 million lives are saved by a blood transfusion. One blood donation may help save up to three lives.
