The quiet banks of the Suwannee River came alive during the weekend of Friday, May 1, through Sunday, May 3, as paddlers from across the country raced through historic waters during the annual Suwannee River 230 Ultimate Challenge. Competitors and support crews passed through Wayside Park on the Suwannee River as they pushed themselves through one of the most grueling endurance paddle races in the Southeast.
According to race organizer Ryan Gillikin, this year’s race marked a truly historic moment for the event.
