Operation River Round Up cracks down on sex offender compliance

Jason Futch Reporter2.RiverbendNews@gmail.com A multi-day joint operation between the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) led to the arrest of 13 sex offenders and predators.  The operation, dubbed Operation River Round Up, was conducted by the agencies from Monday, Sept. 15, to Wednesday, Sept. 17. The purpose of the operation was to check in on offenders outside of regularly scheduled visits to ensure they maintained compliance with state law.
