One dead in crash at U.S. 27, County Road 49 intersection

According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, at 12:30 p.m., a white Chevrolet pickup truck traveling east on U.S. 27 failed to stop at the traffic light as it approached the intersection. At the same time, a silver Hyundai sedan was traveling north on C.R. 49 and entered the intersection on a green traffic signal.
