National scouting organization announces name change

A national youth scouting organization announced on May 7 that it will be changing its name to reflect its increasing inclusivity.
The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) will officially be changed to Scouting America, and the news release said that the name will go into effect on Feb. 8, 2025, the organization's 115th anniversary.
Scouting America released this announcement on its "Though our name will be new, our mission remains unchanged: we are committed to teaching young people to be 'Prepared. For Life'," Roger A. Krone, Scouting America president and chief executive officer, said.
