Model plane captures imaginations at Pinemount Baptist Church VBS

Jason Futch  reporter2.riverbendnews@gmail.com Mike Howell was initially tasked to build a cabin for the Pinemount Baptist Church’s Vacation Bible School in McAlpin. However, the VBS coordinator, Suzette Madox, had other plans. “She said she wanted an airplane, and I just said, ‘How big do you want it?’” Howell said. “She said as big as you can make it.” The plane was part of a series of props that resonated with this year’s theme, “True North: Trusting Jesus in a Wild World.” Among model cabins, caves and decks was the model seaplane Howell built for the event. It was constructed with modular, lightweight parts and features a PVC skeleton for support, along wit
