McDonald's opens applications for Golden Grants

Madelyn Schieder Contributor The McDonald's Florida Georgia Line Operator's Association (FGLBU) opened applications for its annual Golden Grants Program. This year, the program will award grants of $2,500 and $5,000 to support K-12 education initiatives, youth sports programs and nonprofit organizations focused on mentorship, recreation and development. McDonald's Golden Grants is launching at a crucial time when the need for funding has never been greater. Recent government funding cuts to programs, combined with current economic pressures and a highly competitive fundraising landscape, have left many organizations struggling to continue providing youth services for their communities.
