On Tuesday, Nov. 18, Mayo suffered a loss when 20-year-old native Caleb Reed passed away suddenly. While his family attempts to make their way through the loss, the community is doing everything it can to come together and support the Reed family.
That is why there will be a two-day event in support of the family. First, on Friday, Jan. 30, there will be a barbeque pork plate dinner fundraiser. The plate comes with sliced pork, two sides, a roll and dessert. The plates will cost $15 a piece, and can be picked up at Journey Church, located at 796 W. Main St., in Mayo.
Then, on Saturday, Jan. 31, the meal offering will change to a sliced pork
