Mayo community cleanup day set for Sept. 26

Danny Federico [email protected] Residents of Mayo are being invited to participate in a community cleanup day on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 7 a.m. to noon, to improve the town’s appearance as Pioneer Day approaches. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Lafayette County Courthouse, located at 120 W. Main St., where cleanup assignments for the “Meet Me in Mayo” Community Cleanup Day will be distributed. Attendees are encouraged to bring equipment that may be useful during the cleanup, including weed eaters, pressure washers and other tools. Property owners are also being asked to assist by providing access to water hookups for pressure washers and by sharing ideas for fut
