On Friday, March 27, the Madison Soil and Water Conservation District served as the host of the 68th Annual State Land Judging Competition. The event took place on Roland Farms, LLC, in Greenville. The event saw some 50 four-member teams from middle school and high school 4-H and Future Farmers of America (FFA) groups from across Florida. Winners of the state- level competition will have a chance to move on to the national competition, to be held in Oklahoma. The competition is held each year by the Association of Florida Conservation Districts, FFA and the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agriculture Services (UF/IFAS).
