Lulu’s Law seeks to protect beachgoers

Lulu Gribbin was 15 when she was attacked by a shark while swimming at Rosemary Beach on June 7, 2024. The beach is located in Walton County, Fla. Another victim was attacked 90 minutes earlier, just three miles away. Gribbin lost her left hand and part of her right leg in the attack.
Since the attack, Gribbin and her family have advocated for a national alert system to notify beach goers when shark attacks occur in their area, potentially saving lives or protecting against serious injuries.
