LOPD officer involved in accident

On Thursday, Oct. 30, after his final night of police academy at North Florida College, Live Oak Police Department (LOPD) Officer Christopher Davis was traveling home on US Highway 90 in Suwannee County when he was involved in a vehicle accident.
According to the LOPD’s social media post, Officer Davis was operating his motorcycle at the time of the accident. As a result, he sustained life- threatening injuries and was transported by life flight to Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
