LOFD rescues man from tree

Jason Futch Reporter2.riverbendnews@gmail.com A tree trimmer stuck in a tree on Tuesday, Aug. 26, prompted the Live Oak Fire Department (LOFD) to respond to the 200 block of Helvenston Avenue to perform a high-angle rescue.  According to Assistant Fire Chief Kyle Nickerson, at approximately 8:09 p.m., the LOFD responded to the scene, where the man, who was not identified, was located approximately 35 feet in a tree. He had injured his hand while in the tree and was unable to come down safely.
