Local youth shine at 2025 Hamilton County Fair Events Day

Danny Federico reporter3.riverbendnews@gmail.com Young participants and fans of all ages gathered at the Hamilton County Arena in Jasper for the 55th Annual Fair Events Day on Thursday, Oct. 2. The day kicked off at 1 p.m. with the swine show, where youth were able to put their showmanship skills on display. Then, at 4 p.m., competitors in four categories were able to compete in events consisting of Texas barrel, arena racing, and clover leaf. At 5 p.m., the festivities took a brief pause while attendees enjoyed a delicious Boston pork butt barbecue dinner complete with coleslaw, baked beans, bread and tea.
