Local author pens children’s books

The former Postmaster in Lee, Fla., was also the Assistant Editor of the Mayo Free Press, where she wrote a column for 20 years. Using the pen name Dr. M.M., she has now written two children’s books, “A Dog Named Cow” and “Butter the Butterfly.” She has a third children’s book in the works, “Christmas Chains,” which she hopes to have available soon. Santerfeit also said she has several more children’s books ready for publication “at the right time.” Santerfeit states that her love for writing children’s books began in early 2000, but her love for writing
