Local 4-Hers compete in Fourth Annual Quad County Chick Chain Show

Beth Moore, Madison UF/IFAS Contributor The Fourth Annual Quad County Chick Chain Show (formally known as the Madison County Chick Chain Show) is officially in the books! Way back in March of this year, plans were being made for the contest to be held in September. Each participant received at least six chicks in March. Over the next six months, 4-H members cared for and raised their chicks. Participants also attended two educational and informative meetings. At the first meeting, youth were taught how to prepare for the new chicks. The second meeting focused on preparing and showing the birds.
