Living God’s way: Rescued and transferred

As Paul continues his prayer for the Colossian Christians, he mentions two things God has done for which every Christian should give thanks. He says God has “rescued us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:13, 14).
These two things, rescued and transferred, are truly things for which we should be “joyously giving thanks to the Father.” Because of these two actions on the part of God, Christians can have both an inheritance and the forgiveness of their sins.
