Living God’s Way: Renewed to the image of Christ

Carlton McPeak Guest Columnist When one becomes a Christian, they put away one image and put on another image. The image they put away is that of themselves, their way of thinking and living their life. The image they put on looks like Christ. They will think like Christ, and live like Christ (Colossians 3:9-11). This renewal into the image of Christ comes from obtaining and practicing a “true knowledge according to the image of [Christ].” This renewal is not based upon one’s nationality (Jew/Greek), religious practices (circumcision/uncircumcision), social mannerisms (barbarian/Scythian) or employment (slave/freeman). Each person is united in Christ. This wou
