Living God’s way: Paul preaching the hidden mystery

God has provided knowledge for the Christian’s hope. Christ has rescued Christians from darkness and reconciled them to God. Now Paul is preaching the hidden mystery (Colossians 1:24-27).
When Paul is writing this letter, he is in a Roman prison on charges brought against him by the Jewish religious leaders. Paul makes an amazing statement that reflects his attitude about his circumstances. He says, “I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake.” He also states he is rejoicing because in his human, fleshly body, he is able to provide a service for the body of Christ, “which is the church.”
