Living God’s way: Christ, the Firstborn

After identifying the Christ as being the one who has rescued people and transferred them into His kingdom, Paul gives evidence to identify Him. Paul begins by saying that the Christ is “the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation” (Colossians 1:15).
Paul says the Christ is the “image” of God, meaning He is representing God. He has the same qualities and characteristics of God. This same language was used to describe Adam, the first man created by God, who had some of God’s characteristics.
