Live Oak Elks Lodge #1165 is pleased to announce that it used a $4,000 Beacon Grant to prepare 110 Christmas food baskets, each filled with non-perishable items and a $30 gift card to a local grocery store for the purchase of meat. Lodge members collected and assembled the baskets before members from various Suwannee County schools arrived to pick them up, assisted by lodge volunteers. In total, these 110 baskets provided Christmas meals for 589 low-income residents of Suwannee County.
