
Live Oak City Council delays decision on end of water fluoridation

During its regular meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 14, the Live Oak City Council discussed a request from the public works department to discontinue the addition of fluoride to the city's drinking water supply. When allowing public comment on the issue, two individuals spoke against the request.
The first to speak was Johnny Johnson, a pediatric dentist from Chiefland. He took the time to explain a few things about fluoride, how it can help citizens reduce their dental bills, as well as how it can improve the city's infrastructure.
"Businesses love to come to towns where their liability for insurance premiums are lowest," Johnson said. "Business
