Live Oak Church of God hosts “Taking it to the Streets” BBQ dinner

By Danny Federico Riverbend News The Live Oak Church of God, located at 9828 US-129, will be hosting a "Taking it to the Streets" BBQ dinner on Saturday, Feb. 27, to kick-off an outreach program which focuses its efforts on feeding the homeless. The event's coordinator, John Paquette, has been providing clothing, blankets and warm meals to the homeless in Lake City, every Saturday. Now, he is trying to establish an organization to help spread the love. Each BBQ dinner plate is priced at $15 and includes ribs, pork, beans and a drink.
