LCSO deputy earns employee of the year honors

Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) Deputy Chase Buchanan was recognized as the agency’s employee of the year during its annual Christmas party on Thursday, Dec. 11.
Buchanan, who began working with the LCSO shortly after graduating from Lafayette High School in 2019, received the award from Sheriff Brian Lamb. Buchanan said he “couldn’t have been happier” that the agency recognized him.
According to Buchanan, employees worked together to collectively determine who would be a great candidate for the recognition, with Sheriff Lamb ultimately making the final decision.
