Lafayette School County District approves all items at Sept. 9 meeting

The Lafayette County School Board met on Tuesday, Sept. 9, for its regular meeting, where several items regarding school operations were up for discussion. The evening began with a public hearing, where the Board adopted the final millage rate and budget for the 2025-26 school year. There was no public input, so the final millage rate was set at 5.3860. A public hearing was also held later in the meeting to receive input on a proposed change to school start times, though no formal action was taken.
