During their regular meeting on Tuesday, July 21, members of the Lafayette County School Board outlined how the district will distribute its teacher salary-increase allocation for the upcoming school year.
The memorandum stems from the Florida Legislature’s 2026-27 General Appropriations Act, which set aside funding for salary increases of up to $3,000 for full-time classroom teachers and certified pre-kindergarten teachers with at least 10 years of full-time teaching experience in a Florida public school. Under the law, districts may use any remaining funds for additional instructional personnel salary increases or other personnel compensation
