Lafayette performs at district track and field competition

Christian Peterson reporter@riverbendnews.org On Saturday, April 18, Lafayette High School traveled to Oak Hall in Gainesville for the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 1A Track and Field District 5 Championship. First was the men’s 100-meter dash. Kalan Howard took fourth place with a time of 11.41 seconds. Zamarion Hawkins followed in sixth with a time of 11.48. Parker Anderson came next in 12th place with a time of 11.9. Anderson also competed in the 200-meter dash, where he placed ninth with a time of 25.03. The competition continued in the 400-meter dash. Howard came third with a time of 52.8 seconds; Coy Plunkett came next in eighth place with a time of 57.03;
