Lafayette County Resource Fair held at Mayo Public Library

Jason Futch Reporter2.riverbendnews@gmail.com On Thursday, Sept. 25, the Florida Department of Health (DOH) for Lafayette and Suwannee Counties hosted a Community Resource Fair at the Mayo Public Library to showcase available programs for the community. From Catholic Charities to Smoke Free Florida, the event was geared toward educating the community about the numerous programs available to Lafayette County residents. Beverly Fountain, health educator for Suwannee and Lafayette Counties, said the event had been planned over the last couple of months, and hopes to have the events available in both counties quarterly. “We hope to have one in Suwannee County in November, but are looking
