Lafayette County celebrates Fourth of July a day early

Christian Peterson [email protected] While everyone else was prepping for Fourth of July Celebrations, the Mayo Woman’s Club was ahead of schedule. On Friday, July 3, the Edward Perry Sports Complex was bustling with activity, starting at 4 p.m. Food trucks lined the entrance, offering everything from snow cones and barbecue to boiled peanuts and Mexican food. On top of that, local businesses were there selling baked goods and crafts. But that wasn’t all; free face painting was available for the kids. The children could also enjoy cornhole and two water slides, which were popular throughout the entire evening. Country Strong Gym was also there with an obstacle course set up
