On Tuesday, Nov. 28, the Lafayette County Board of County Commissioners met for its regularly scheduled meeting. First the board approved the minutes from the previous meeting, then they moved to the department head reports. First to speak was Marcus Calhoun with maintenance, who told the board that the county is still grading and working on right-of-way mowing. He also said they would be holding interviews for the road department position the week following the meeting, as they had received eight applications. Finally, he told the board that he would be brining scrap and scop recommendations at the next meeting.
