On Thursday, Jan. 30, the Lafayette High School Hornets took on the Hamilton County Trojans in a basketball showdown. The first game of the evening was the girls’ game. Unfortunately for the Trojans, the Hornets were at the top of their game, winning 70 – 27. The boys’ game was next, however, and that was a different story. It was a heated battle between the two teams, but eventually the Hornets came out on top, winning the game 63 – 61. However, the real highlight of the evening happened between the two games. Each senior was given a moment of honor. They were able to walk with their families, receive gifts, and speak on their plans for the future. The entire evening was a success for the Hornets.
