Lafayette Babe Ruth to host Super Saturday opening day on March 21

Danny Federico editor@riverbendnews.org The Lafayette Babe Ruth League will kick off its 2026 season with its annual Super Saturday opening day celebration on Saturday, March 21, with a full slate of games scheduled throughout the day. Opening ceremonies are set to begin at 9 a.m., bringing together players, coaches, families and community supporters to celebrate the start of the season. After the ceremony, teams from multiple age divisions will take the field for a day of baseball and softball competition. Games will begin at 10 a.m. and continue into the afternoon across several divisions. In the T-Ball division, the day will feature three matchups: Chelsea Morgan Realtor vs. Ma
