Kalandek gets life in prison for sex crimes

Jason Futch  reporter2.riverbendnews@gmail.com After spending three years in the Suwannee County Jail, 60-year-old Live Oak resident Frank Martin Kalandek will be spending the rest of his life behind bars at the Florida Department of Corrections. His sentence was handed down on Thursday, May 29, after being found guilty on charges including lewd and lascivious molestation and child abuse. According to a press release from the State Attorney’s Office, the arrest stemmed from a 2022 investigation into allegations of sexual abuse by investigators and patrol deputies with the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office.
