Josh Daniel sentenced to four years for role in White Springs homicide

On Tuesday, June 30, Josh Daniel, 19, appeared in court for sentencing in the homicide case involving William “Junior” Powell Jr. Daniel previously pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact and tampering with evidence.
Judge Jamie Tyndal presided over the hearing, with the state prosecuting the case and defense attorney Sanford Souls representing Daniel.
The defense presented its case first due to scheduling constraints involving one of its witnesses. The first witness, forensic psychologist Dr. Harry Krop, testified about the numerous tests and assessments he administered to Daniel. Krop said he believed Daniel posed a very low risk
