Johnston Signature Furnishings opens in Branford

Mickey Starling reporter3.riverbendnews@gmail.com Just a short time after Badcock Furniture closed its doors across the nation, Andy Johnston, the owner of the Branford, Madison and Monticello stores, has revived the business, opening as Johnston Signature Furnishings. The newly-branded store opened on Saturday, Nov. 16. He owned seven Badcock stores in the North Florida area, and all of them reopened under the new name. Thanks to Johnston, our area was fortunate. Only about 100 of the 384 Badcock stores that closed have reopened. Johnston is proud to announce that more than the name is changing.
