John “Mike” Huchingson, 42, of Live Oak, Fla., passed away on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025. He was born in Jasper, Fla., on Sept. 28, 1982, was a lifelong resident of Live Oak, and a Patriot through and through. Mike loved to work on cars, especially Chevys, enjoyed fishing and hunting and had a passion for guns and eagles. He worked at Precision Turning in Live Oak as a CNC Machinist. Mike is survived by his wife, Kayla Huchingson; four sisters, Patricia Thomas, Mary King, Tammy Staley (Lenny) and Susan Bise; and two brothers, William Register (Amanda) and Charles Register. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest M. Huchingson and Mary McElveen Huchingson, and his sister, Shinta Watts. Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at Daniels Memorial Chapel, with the visitation held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment followed in Live Oak Cemetery.
