It is a well-known fact that, on his first day back in office, President Trump signed a slew of Executive Orders. One of these orders was the renaming, as far as the U.S. is concerned, of the body of water formerly known as the Gulf of Mexico. Trump’s order called for the U.S. government to now refer to that body of water as the Gulf of America.
It is noted that this order has no bearing on what other countries may call that body of water that runs ashore of Florida’s western shore northward and along the panhandle, then westward across Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Southeastern Texas. Official U.S. geographical sources and maps are now referring to this gulf as the Gulf of America. One can see testament to this if one takes a look at Google Maps. The popular web search site now refers to the former Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America.
So, if Google says so, it must be true.
