The Lafayette High School boys basketball team began its season on the road against the Oak Hall Eagles. However, they struggled with offensive timing issues early on, and despite some bright spots, they lost 51-30. They managed to score only 10 points in the first half. In the fourth quarter, they were held to just seven points.
However, the Hornets bounced back with a big win over the Riverside Christian Wranglers, defeating them 61-34 on Thursday, Nov. 30, in front of a home crowd. Tywan Williamson led the Hornets with 14 points.
Following their performance against the Wranglers, the Hornets won a close game against the Chiefland Indians
