Hornets’ girls’ soccer win seven straight

The Lafayette High School girls' soccer team has been dominating Class 1A for the past few years. They have won back-to-back district championships and have maintained an average of more than 10 wins per season over the last five years. Despite losing their star player, Lyda Plunkett, who graduated and was named the 2022 Riverbend News Soccer Player of the Year, the Hornets are still hopeful for the season ahead with only two senior players.
The team is determined to prove that they are capable of defending their championship title. Several players have back-to-back district championships on their resumes, and they remain hungry for more succ
