Hornets fall to Cowgirls, 14-1

Danny Federico [email protected] Lafayette High School’s varsity softball team traveled to Madison County High School on Friday, Feb. 20, to take on the Cowgirls. The Hornets were coming off a 15-0 loss against the Santa Fe Raiders on Tuesday, Feb. 17, while the Cowgirls entered the match off a 9-5 loss against University Christian. Although the Hornets fought hard, they fell to the Cowgirls 14-1 in five innings. While the Cowgirls collected 13 hits, the Hornets finished with two on 16 at-bats while drawing three walks.
