Hornets fall to Cowboys

By Rick Patrick Riverbend News On Friday, Jan. 8, the Lafayette High School Hornets and Lady Hornets basketball teams traveled over to Madison for a triple-header with the Cowboys and Cowgirls of Madison County High School. By the end of the evening, the Cowboys and Cowgirls had completed a sweep of the Hornets and Lady Hornets. The action began with the boys’ junior varsity teams going head-to-head. The Cowboys went out to an early lead and at the end of the first quarter, the Cowboys had a 15-6 advantage.
