When Ernest M. Lee was 3 years old, he grabbed a globe his grandmother owned and kept spinning it, his finger landing on “the boot” of America. He kept asking her where his finger kept landing, to which she replied, “That’s Florida.” According to Ernest’s wife, Gloria Lee, he stood up and said, “Well, Grandma, when I grow up, I’m gonna move to Florida, where they will call me Mr. Ernest M.
