Hometown Salute: Amanda Farmer
Amanda Farmer has been serving with courage as a firefighter with the Live Oak Fire Department since 2024.
Farmer, a Flagler County native, first began her journey in 2020, attending Daytona State College’s Emergency Medical Technician/Firefighter School. After graduating from the school, she went to work with the Putnam County Fire Rescue, where she served the residents of the county for almost four years.
In 2024, she relocated to Suwannee County, moving with her boyfriend, who is also a firefighter, and began working with the Live Oak Fire Department. She is a first-generation firefighter in her family, and hopes others in her family will follow her footsteps.
